At Falak we are obsessed with innovation and as part of our ongoing efforts to encourage regional organisations to embrace innovation we organise a pioneering annual summit dubbed the Falak Unreasonable Thinking Summit (UTS). The UTS is a 2-day forum on innovation, disruption and “Unreasonable” thinking. The name is inspired by George Bernard Shaw’s famous saying:
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
The purpose of the summit is to educate and inspire the regional business community, especially startup entrepreneurs. Our previous summits included speakers from all corners of the globe including the US, Canada, India, Saudi Arabia, UK, Spain, UAE, the Philippines, Belgium, Kenya and Pakistan.
The speakers consist of academics, entrepreneurs, technologists, activists, inventors, artists, architects, social entrepreneurs and others.
Companies represented at the summit have included PIXAR Animation Studios, IBM Research, Wharton School, GE Innovation, McLaren Applied Technologies and others.
